Asterisk resources from LUSYN

Asterisk is the Open Source Linux PBX. Sponsored by Digium, it provides all of the features you would expect from a PBX and more. Asterisk does voice over IP in three protocols and can interoperate with almost all standards-based telephony equipment using relatively inexpensive hardware.

LUSYN released its first Asterisk patches in November 2004. They were based on the original patches by Tony Hoyle which supported Caller ID extraction on UK BT lines using the X100P cards.

Current Patches

Asterisk History Buffer
These patches implement Tony Hoyle's method of extracting Caller ID information from a history buffer. They have been updated to work with v1.4.2 of Asterisk. They can be used with both X100P and TDM cards. Details of the patches for v1.2 are still available here.

Obsolete Patches

Asterisk Ring Begin Fix
From v1.2.0rc2 onwards in the v1.2 branch there has been a bug in Asterisk's handling of ring events. This patch provided a workaround to restore distinctive ring detection on TDM cards. This patch is now obsolete due to lack of support for a permanent bugfix.  For a workaround, use the Asterisk History Buffer patch.
